Ergonomics and Biomechanics Products

Biometrics Ltd. Products

The new SX230-1000 EMG preamplifier is smaller than the previous SX230. Both sensors can be used together with either a DataLOG or DataLINK.

Also released is the new SX230FW EMG preamplifier for use with disposable electrodes.

The new FP3 ForcePlate can be used with the DataLOG, DataLINK, and K800.

The FP3 is a small lightweight single axis force plate designed for maximum portability and versatility of application. The FP3 ForcePlate measures as little as the touch of a finger through to full standing weight bearing. The small size allows use in any position for upper or lower extremity measurements.

HUMANCAD®

Customers are reminded to check for updates if on maintenance.

We wish to remind customers who wish to upgrade to HumanCAD that upgrade credits are available to customers of ManneQuinPRO Versions 7 through 10.2, ManneQuinBE and ManneQuinELITE. The value of these credits is reduced each December 31st.

AnyBody Modeling System™ Version 4.1

Version 4.1 of the AnyBody Modeling System contains ground-breaking new technology for handling redundant kinematic constraints. This simplifies the driving of models by motion capture data significantly and improves accuracy.

Version 4.1 of the AMS will contain a new algorithm for handling kinematically over-determinate systems. This new feature allows for a smoother workflow between motion capture studies and advanced musculoskeletal analysis in AnyBody, applicable for full body simulations rather than just the lower extremity.

The benefit of this new Kinematically Over-determinate Systems Solver (KOSS) is that it optimizes motion and model parameters simultaneously, e.g. marker locations and bone lengths.

New Xsens MVN BIOMCH

MVN BIOMCH is a camera-less 3D human motion measurement system. Being fully ambulatory, MVN BIOMCH enables biomechanics measurements to take place in the actual setting without the usual restrictions imposed by laboratory setups.

The MVN BIOMCH system comes with full-body straps maximizing contact while minimizing skin motion artefact.

With the addition of synchronization with video data and a camera optimized for use in MVN BIOMCH Studio, users can verify data quickly and easily. Joint angle and centre of mass output (real-time and as data variables) saves calculation time and effort. Sensor data is available for advanced users and C3D data is provided for users who are more accustomed to tracking marker information.
