Biometrics E-LINK H400S

The E-LINK H400S is a computerized evaluation system with electronic instrumentation for isometric pinch and grip strength. Database software with automated data collection enables fast, accurate measurements, statistical analysis, and progress reporting. Comparison of grip strength against normative data is included.

Data collected is available for export as an ASCII file with user selected parameters defining the export criteria. This file is easily imported into other applications such as Microsoft Excel for further analysis and research.


Grip Dynamometer G100

The industry standard Jamar Dynamometer is modified by Biometrics producing a high precision instrument. The E-LINK software easily and accurately measures in 0.1 increments (Kg or lbs) from 0 - 90 Kg or 0 - 200 lbs.

Dynamometer measurements include:

  • Standard grip test - 5 positions, three trials per position, calculation of average and co-efficient of variation, graph
  • Sustained Grip Test - 5, 10, 15 or 30 sec, graphs, comparison against prior sessions, calculations: peak, time to peak, average over last 60 %, average to peak ratio, rate of fatigue in lbs/sec or kg/sec
  • Rapid Exchange Test - graph, calculation of average, co-efficient of variation and average correlation (compares with standard grip test)
  • Analysis graph and table shows progress over multiple sessions, percentage change from session to session, and percentage of normal (based on age, sex and dominant hand)

Pinchmeter P100

The unique low profile design of the Biometrics' precision Pinchmeter allows measurement at closer to end range than other devices - manual or electronic. The E-LINK software easily and accurately measures in 0.1 increments (Kg or lbs) from 0 - 22 Kg or 0 - 50 lbs.

Pinch measurements include:

  • Standard pinch tests - Key, Three-Jaw, and Tip to Tip positions, three trials per position, calculation of average and co-efficient of variation
  • Single measurement of thumb to digit opposition (all fingers)
  • Analysis graph and table shows progress over multiple sessions, percentage change from session to session

Software

The sample graph shown above illustrates 10 sessions for 1 subject plotted over time with comparison against normative data. The injured right hand shows improvement over time reaching normal values while the uninjured left hand shows little change.

All data collected can be exported. Selectable parameters easily define the export criteria. Single or multiple patient data is exported as an ASCII file, easily imported into other applications for statistical analysis, outcomes reporting, and research studies.
