NexGen Ergonomics Announces Distribution Agreement with Vista Medical

Montreal, February 14, 2002 -- NexGen Ergonomics Inc. (NexGen) is pleased to announce that it has signed a distribution agreement with Vista Medical for their FSA (Force Sensitive Applications) products. The FSA product line includes the Glove Pressure Mapping System (GPMS), FSA Industrial Seat & Back System (ISBS) as well as products for mattress design and other applications. NexGen will focus its sales and marketing efforts in the ergonomics and related markets.

The FSA Glove Pressure Mapping System (GPMS) is a multi-sensor hand force data acquisition system that consists of an Ultrathin Glove Mat and a Computer Interface. The FSA pressure sensing elements are sewn into the glove's palmar surface. The GPMS has various ergonomics applications including hand-tool analysis, design and research, as well as clinical applications.

The FSA Industrial Seat and Back System (ISBS) has various applications including validation of product designs or in the research and development of next generation products. A frequent application is in the seating area such as in the automotive sector helping to design more comfortable supportive seats, or for the development of ergonomically correct office seating.

Vista Medical's FSA has a ten-year history specializing in the measurement of soft interface force/pressure, temperature, shear, wetness, shape and conductivity or light. Their products have been utilized in the automotive, furniture and medical markets.
