NexGen Ergonomics Announces New Chatillon® Force Gauges

Montreal, March 6, 2001 -- NexGen Ergonomics Inc. (NexGen), the North American distributor of CHATILLON® force gauges for the ergonomics and related markets, is pleased to announce the DFA and DFT series are available immediately with a variety of accessory kits.

The CHATILLON® DFA series is ideal for applications where capturing precise peak readings are required. This series is available with an integral loadcell (up to 100lbs), dedicated loadcell (up to 1000 lbs), or with an interchangeable remote loadcell. Other features include the ability to store as many as 1000 test readings in as many as 99 batches, programmable high and low setpoints, pushbutton calibration and an analog output for graphing the force curve. Data is stored in non-volatile memory and is retained even if battery power is removed or the gauge is turned off. The user can select various units of measure (lb, Kg or N). The internal sampling rate is up to 10,000 Hz.

The CHATILLON® DFT series (up to 500 lbs) is equipped with sophisticated force measurement capabilities including programmable test parameters and the ability to store up to 100 test readings in memory. Dedicated function keys and intelligent display prompts simplify gauge operation without compromising performance or functionality. The DFT gauge has a 1000 Hz sampling rate making it ideal for capturing peak readings. The integral RS232 serial communication allows users to download data directly into popular office software including WORD® and EXCEL® for custom reporting.
