NexGen Ergonomics Acquires Various Assets of HumanCAD Systems Inc.

Montreal, April 22, 1999 -- NexGen Ergonomics Inc. (NexGen) is pleased to announce that it has acquired various assets of HumanCAD Systems Inc. These assets include inventory of ManneQuinPRO™ and ManneQuinONSITE™ systems as well as the existing customer base.

In May 1997, NexGen was appointed North America's first reseller of ManneQuinPRO and then expanded its relationship to become the leading distributor of these systems both in North America and internationally. These systems have been sold worldwide to corporations, universities and consultants.

ManneQuinPRO was the first Windows-based human modeling and ergonomic design software on the market. Equipped with a powerful set of 2D/3D modeling and editing tools, the software features three-dimensional humanoid figures for 11 populations and numerous percentiles and body types. Other features include NIOSH lifting equation, field of vision cones, reach envelopes, frame by frame animation, and more. The system is equipped with import/export tools to be used with graphics software such as Autodesk's AutoCAD and 3D Studio MAX.

ManneQuinONSITE features include the 1988 Natick U.S. Army anthropometric database, import/export utility, reach envelopes, view and reach envelopes, a library of predefined and user defined postures (including physically challenged) for full body or hand only, and state of the art rendering features.

NexGen is pleased to announce that for a limited time, the 10,000 users of previous versions of ManneQuin will be eligible for special upgrade pricing.
