Montreal, August 2, 2004 -- NexGen Ergonomics Inc. (NexGen) is pleased to announce that InfinitiTrak is available for customer beta testing. InfinitiTrak is a new option for the FlexComp Infiniti to enable synchronization with the new Optotrak Certus system. NexGen markets these systems in the ergonomics, biomechanics, and related markets in North America and in various countries worldwide. Customer deliveries are tentatively scheduled for the 4th quarter of 2004.
The new Thought Technology FlexComp Infiniti can be configured with 10-40 channels that support a variety of sensors which include, EMG, EEG, EKG, HR/BVP, electrogoniometers, force sensors, skin conductance, temperature and more. Using a Thought Technology data producer socket, data from the Thought Technology FlexComp unit is received within the NDI Toolbench application. RMS EMG, as well as other supported modalities, can be viewed in real time within Toolbench. Raw data from the various sensors as well as RMS-EMG can be saved into standard NDI-format data files, synchronously with the Optotrak recording process, and can be played back in real time or on single frame mode along with 3D position data through the standard set of Toolbench pipeline objects.
The NDI Optotrak Certus offers improved performance and flexibility for your application through its new selection of strobers, higher marker frequency and significantly improved portability. A pre-calibrated system means the Certus is ready for use right out of the box. User convenience is enhanced through the system's ability to configure the activation order of markers through the software.
