NexGen Ergonomics Announces HumanCAD® Version 2.5 with Advanced Feature Set

Montreal, September 4, 2013 -- NexGen is pleased to announce the release of HumanCAD 2.5, our next generation digital human modeling platform. HumanCAD is a human modeling solution that creates digital humans in a three-dimensional environment in which a variety of ergonomic and human factor analysis can be performed. HumanCAD aids users with the design of products and workplaces by determining what humans of different sizes can see, reach, or lift.

Release 2.5 includes:

  • New custom anthropometry features
  • New and improved skinning for mannequins
  • New somatotype feature: Using the anthropometry editor you can now modify the somatotype of your virtual human model.
  • The Advanced Functions Set enhancements with a more detailed spine model, additional customizable head variable using US army 1988 and Canadian military database of 1997 anthropometric values, Mannequin skeleton representation and a more detailed shoulder model.
