NexGen Ergonomics Announces ManneQuinPRO™ Version 9

Montreal, October 2, 2003 -- NexGen Ergonomics Inc. (NexGen) is pleased to announce ManneQuinPRO™, Version 9. The ManneQuin/HumanCAD series of human modeling solutions enjoys the largest customer base in the world with thousands of users worldwide.

ManneQuinPRO features three-dimensional humanoid figures for 11 populations, various population percentiles, and multiple body types. Other features include the NIOSH lifting equation, field of vision cones, reach envelopes, animation, and more. The system is equipped with import/export tools to be used with graphics software such as AutoDesk's AutoCAD™ and 3D Studio MAX™.

New features in Version 9 include:

  • Unlimited undo - Almost all procedures are undoable. Undo steps are limited only by available memory.
  • Reach command - Numerical coordinates can now be entered when performing a reach function.
  • Scale command - Geometric objects can now be scaled once created, either interactively or via user defined numerical values.
  • Dimensioning - Vertical, horizontal, and aligned distances, as well as angles, can be determined either interactively or by user defined numerical values.
  • Manual control for anthropometry - Individual body segment dimensions can be entered manually to generate a specific anthropometric model.
  • Semi-auto control for anthropometry - The height and weight values for a model can be entered manually, while the remaining body segments are scaled accordingly.
  • Floor feature - A digital floor option has been added.
