NexGen Ergonomics Announces Distribution Agreement With NDI

Montreal, December 19, 2002 -- NexGen Ergonomics Inc. (NexGen) is pleased to announce that it has signed a distribution agreement with Northern Digital Inc. (NDI) for their Optotrak products. NexGen will focus its sales and marketing efforts in the ergonomics and related markets in North America.

The NDI Optotrak system uses active marker based technology. No reflective markers are used. The Optotrak system employs small infrared (IRED) markers that are attached to your subject. The result is true, real-time 3D/6D data with superior accuracy.

With an RMS accuracy to 0.1 mm and resolution to 0.01 mm, you can study extremely fine or subtle movement. With the capability to track up to 256 markers, Optotrak is ideal for both complex and large applications. Optotrak can achieve sample rates of up to 3500 markers per second.
